Email preferences allow greater personalisation of your interactions with the system. It allows you to tailor the content you receive in email alerts from the system and you can also specify alerts based on the certain area of the system at your chosen frequency. The preferences screen are displayed the first time you log into the platform.

System alerts

To access system alerts, navigate to your Profile > My preferences:

Then click Email preferences in the left hand pane:

The Email preferences screen is displayed (this is split into multiple screenshots):

Within the Email preferences section, you can choose the frequency of the emails:

  • Daily

  • Weekly

  • Fortnightly

  • Monthly

  • Quarterly

  • Never

You can then tailor content through the selection of the modules that you have permission to see and the associated metadata that each individual bit of content may be tagged with.

We know reliable delivery is vital for your high-volume content emails and while we aim to prevent any issues, as of our December 2023 release, we're now empowering our support team to respond if a job cancellation or interruption happens without the need to restart the servers. So if a daily, weekly or monthly preference job ever fails mid-way, our support team can promptly restart the batch to ensure no subscriber misses content. Please contact the support team with the frequency and timeframe details if partial failures ever occur and they can swiftly re-trigger the job to get all intended emails sent

Please note that it is now possible to include the user's first name, last name, job title and organisation name in the subject line of the preference email. For example, if the email subject line is “Here is your latest news”, this can now be changed to “Paul Simpson, Lead Developer, Thomson Reuters. Here is your latest news”.

Please contact HighQ support to get this feature enabled.

As of our August release, to improve the consistency of content, we have ensured that all footers will now be automatically displayed when viewing preference email content
