Requirements
The minimum requirements for the HighQ Office plugin are Microsoft Office 2010 (including Outlook) and Windows 8.1. There is currently no support for Microsoft 365 OWA (Outlook Web App) or macOS.
Please note that Windows 8.1 or earlier releases are no longer supported.
For Windows machines, the plugin requires Microsoft .NET 4.8 Framework and Visual Studio 2010 Tools for Office Runtime (VSTOR_Redist). These will automatically be installed if they are not found.
The Office plugin can be used only by internal Collaborate users. External users who have limited secure file transfer rights will not be able to use it.
To deploy the HighQ Office plugin throughout an organisation, please contact your HighQ Account Manager.
Installation
Click on your Profile image in the top-right of the Collaborate screen to view further options.
Select Install HighQ Drive. If you already have HighQ Drive and want to install the Office plugin please select Install Office Plugin.
If you do not see these options, contact your HighQ administrator.
Please close Microsoft Outlook and Office before you install the office plugin.
Download and open the application.
Click Advanced Options. Choose to install HighQ Drive or HighQ Office Plugin either just for yourself or for anyone who uses the computer.
If you select the Anyone who uses this computer option, any HighQ user who logs on to the computer will have access to their own personal My Files space. Users only see their own My Files space, not the files belonging to anyone else.
If you install the application for one personal user only and then want to let other users have the ability to access their own My Files you need to uninstall HighQ Drive, reinstall it and choose the Anyone who uses this computer option during the installation process.
If you install the application just for yourself the installation location is set to a user folder. If you choose to install the application for all users, a shared Program Files location is used. The location can be changed if required. Click OK to return back to the Terms & Conditions page.
Agree to the Terms & Conditions then click the Install button to start the installation process.
When the installation has completed the add-in setup installed window will display.
Click Close.
