Module permissions in Publisher

Each module has its own set of permissions, that basically determines who can view the module and who can not.

Comparison toolkit permissions

To access a comparison toolkit's permissions, click More actions:

And then click Edit permission. The Permission tab in the comparison toolkit will be displayed:

In this tab, you can search for and add organisations, groups or organisation groups using the search field, or click Bulk add to select multiple groups, organisations and/or organisation groups and add them to the list of people who can view the comparison toolkit. 

The list of organisations, groups and/or organisation groups that are already added to this list are displayed in the Organisation/group name section. Additionally, you can remove groups from this list, or remove every group by clicking Remove all. This makes the comparison toolkit viewable to System and module admins only.

Click Save to save all of your changes, or Cancel to cancel them.

Metadata permissions in comparison toolkits

In addition to your standard permissions, you also have access to metadata permissions. These metadata permissions enable you to filter content to specific viewers, depending on what content is tagged with, and what permissions are selected. To enable metadata permissions, in the comparison toolkit, click the Details tab:

And in the Enable metadata permissions? drop-down menu, choose Yes and then click Save

Now you will be able to access the metadata permissions, either via the Metadata tab:

Or clicking Edit in the Metadata column in the Organisation/group name section in the Permission tab:

As explained above, here you can select which pieces of metadata are linked to the comparison toolkit. So for example, you can select 'Europe' and 'Asia' as your two pieces of metadata and users who are part of groups or organisation groups that have those pieces of metadata selected, will be able to view the comparison toolkit. 

Events permissions

To access an event's permissions, click More actions:

And then click Edit permission. The Permission tab in the event will be displayed:

In this tab, you can search for and add organisations, groups or organisation groups using the search field, or click Bulk add to select multiple groups, organisations and/or organisation groups and add them to the list of people who can view the comparison toolkit.
