Managing languages in Publisher

Product Filter HighQ Publisher
Product Area Filter System administration

As of our December 2023 release, we have introduced the ability for administrators to manage language changes within Publisher. This means that you will no longer have to rely on Thomson Reuters to make specific language changes for your instance and enables your own system administrators to make changes across any languages you are using.

Please keep in mind that if you intend to make any alterations, it's advisable to implement these modifications early to establish them as your default language, as if you decide to make this change at a later time, you will need to re-enter all your dashboards and content

Within your profile drop down menu, navigate to System admin:

The System admin screen will be displayed. Within the System admin screen, navigate to System setting Languages:

The new Languages screen will be displayed:

Here, you manage your languages in multiple ways:

Edit language

Click Edit language, to edit the selected language. The Edit language screen will be displayed:

Here, you can change the Display Name of the language (which we recommend keeping as the name of the language), you can change the Status of the language:

From Active to Archive which will archive the language, or Pending - which will...

Additionally, you can add an Image to display next to the language chosen - as default, we have the flag of the country the language is from.

You can also download the current resource bundle, by clicking the blue link:

And then you can open it:

Here, you can find specific text strings that you can change. Once you have found the string you want to change, copy and paste it into the Customization resource bundle field:

Now, you can make changes to the language: (Please note that we are just showing how you can change the language, we don't recommend changing Échec to Échece!):

Once you have made the changes you want to make, click Save. Your changes will be saved.

Make default

In order to make a language the default language of your instance, click More actions on the language you want as your default:

And click Make default. This will change your default language.

Status & Deleting

To change the status of a language within your instance, or to delete a language pack completely, click More actions > Pending Archived / Delete:

The Pending status means that administrators are able to add content to the system, but it won't be displayed to the end user. The Archived status means this language will be archived and unavailable for use.

To Delete a language pack, click Delete, the following warning message will be displayed:

Click Remove to delete the selected language.
