As of our August release, we are introducing advanced capabilities to provide more personalised, preference-driven content with enhanced sophisticated logic, for targeted marketing campaigns.

First, navigate to your profile drop down menu and click Content hub:

The Content hub is now displayed. Within the Content hub, navigate to Campaigns > Recipients list:

The Recipient lists screen is displayed. Within the Recipients list screen, click Add list:

The New recipient list screen is displayed:

Here, you can give the recipient list a name and also add rules to the list. To add a rule, click Add > Preferences:

The Add by preferences screen will be displayed:

Within this screen, you can add rules to your preferences, which is how we will target specific users and groups. Click Add rule to display the metadata drop downs:

The first drop down will display all available metadata to you (this is what is set up within system admin).

Select the metadata that you wish to target, in this example we have selected countries:

The secondary drop down is linked to the first. So if you selected countries, a list of countries will be displayed:

Here, we have selected United Kingdom and United States.

Now, you can be even more specific by adding an additional rule group. To do this, click Add rule group:

And select the relevant metadata. In our example, we have chosen Language - English.

Please note that between each rule group, you will see the options AND and OR. These options enable you to dictate the relationship between the different rule groups. This means, in our example, we are targeting users with an interest in the English language within the UK and the US

You can add even greater complexity by clicking Add rule, to add more rules:

Additionally, there is another AND/OR drop down, so you can choose whether you want to filter by one rule, or another, or multiple:

Once you have set up your rules, click Save. Your rules will be saved and you will be returned to the recipients list screen:

Details tab

Within this screen, you can click on the details, to show which preference rules are applied:

Please also note the Total unique recipients:

The number displayed is the total number of users who satisfy the criteria.

Additionally, within this screen, you can Delete and Archive your preference lists, via More actions:

Please note that once you have created a preference list, you CANNOT edit it. You must archive the old one off and create a new one. This is due to users potentially changing their preferences

Once you have selected one or more recipient list(s), click More:

Here, you can either Activate, Archive or Delete the selected lists.

Recipients tab

The Recipients tab will show you all users that will be targeted by your list:

Click More actions > Add to exclusions:

To add any users or groups to the exclusion list. This means they will be excluded from receiving the email:

Click Add to add the user to the exclusion list.

Exclusions tab

The exclusions tab will show all users and groups that are currently excluded. To remove any users or grousp from the exclusion list, click More actions Remove from exclusion:

This will remove the user / group from the exclusion list and add them back to the recipient list.
