Create channels in Publisher

To create a new channel, click your profile picture to display a drop-down menu and then click Content hub:

The Content hub is displayed. Navigate to Channels in the Dashboards section (in the left-hand pane):

To display the Channels screen:

From this screen, you can add a new by clicking New channel. The New channel screen is displayed:

In this screen, you can edit the name of the new channel; click the pencil icon:

Enter the new name for the channel and then click the tick icon, or click the cross icon to cancel any changes. 

Click the globe icon to edit the translations of your new channel name. If the instance is configured to provide Spanish, for example, you can provide the Spanish translation of the channel name.

In the General section, you have access to the following fields:

 

  • Status - This is the status of the channel. The channel will either be Active or Archived.
  • Permalink - The permalink is a link that a user can paste into their URL to access the channel. Click the pencil icon to edit the link.
  • Description - This is a description of the channel.
  • Discoverable by browse - This determines whether the channel can be discovered within the browse page, or not.
  • Image - This provides an option to associate an image with the channel.
