September 2023 updates

Overview

HighQ September 2023 Collaborate 5.7.29 updates will be applied to customer-facing sandbox/UAT instances over the weekend of the 2nd/3rd of September, with production deployments taking place from the weekend of the 9th/10th of September onwards. 

HighQ Publisher Q3 2023 release version 5.7.22 updates will be applied to customer-facing sandbox/UAT instances over the weekend of the 2nd/3rd of September, with production deployments taking place from the weekend of the 16th/17th of September onwards.

HighQ Collaborate Updates

Google Add-on

The HighQ add-on for Google Workspace is now live and available on the Google marketplace. The add-on lets you work directly from Google Workspace with your legal and corporate legal use cases. It allows you to:

• Save a message from a Gmail inbox to HighQ
• Save an attachment from a Gmail message to HighQ
• Add a link to a document/file in HighQ to an outgoing Gmail message
• Edit documents from HighQ in Google Docs, Google Sheets and Google Slides

Greater flexibility in transaction management

Boost your Virtual Datarooms with the new bidder group creation process. Designed for complex organisations, this allows users to be marked as bidders/sellers/non-bidders and assigned into separate Q&A groups despite belonging to the same organisation 

Protect your data with the iSheet recycle bin 

You can now restore Deleted iSheets at any time within a 30-day window, ensuring your data is more protected

This new restore feature allows accidentally deleted iSheets to be easily recovered along with all associated data, attachments, permissions, workflows, rules, filters etc. It provides a simple way to rescue iSheets that should not have been deleted

Document status in Tasks view

Access important document version and document status information without switching between the Tasks and Files module for a more integrated and seamless user experience 

Adjust the column width on the Tasks Hierarchy Board 

You can now easily see all the relevant information without having to click into individual tasks by adjusting the width of columns

New Open-in button when viewing files

Cut down on the number of clicks to open your files for editing in MS Word with the new Open-in button on the file previewer

Document Intelligence integration

You can now import multiple documents from Document Intelligence

HighQ Publisher Updates

• We have introduced the email frequency field which enables users to filter records by Daily, Weekly, Bi-Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly. This filter allows you to get faster access to more relevant content and eliminates the need to manually filter by frequency
• Content lists now remember what page you were on as you are browsing. This means if you select a piece of content from a content list and then return to the page after viewing the piece of content, it will remember which page you were initially viewing
• You can now include smart folders in dashboards giving you greater control over the content you can surface from Collaborate and giving you more options on how to display content
• You can now retrieve content through APIs instead of relying solely on RSS feeds. This will empower developers with comprehensive access to the necessary content elements for effective integration
• We have added a 'Clear filter' button for users to quickly and effectively clear any filters they have added when viewing content in a content list, on a dashboard

Performance and Security improvements

Site homepage

• We have introduced an improved site homepage experience. Dashboard content is now loaded as you scroll down, improving load times as content is loaded on-demand

Files

• Document page counts determined for services such as OCR are now more accurate
• The Add new folder action has been optimised for faster execution
• Improved support for very large files in the file viewer
• Deleting file versions is now 4x quicker
• Removing document versions is now 40% faster
• Updating folder access is now twice as fast
• Third party DocuSign status now updates 8x quicker
• You can now permanently delete files 22% faster
• CSV retrieval is now 7x quicker
• Updating document links for XML is 56% quicker
• Retrieving folder document detail is 30% faster
• Shared files are more secure, with a timeout period if too many failed password attempts are detected

HighQ Forms

• Improved form performance when there are over 500 columns and a large number of iSheet records

Activity

• Activity notifications are now 6x faster

Audit

• User log in data reports are now twice as quick

Drive

• Performance has been improved for downloading the drive application by 50% on average

People

• Retrieving panel data is now almost instantaneous

Site Groups

• Finding groups is now 3x as fast

Reports

• Retrieving user summary reports is now 4x quicker

Overview

UAT updates start the weekend of the 29th of July 2023, production deployments take place from the weekend of the 5th of August

Feature release highlights this month

This month's updates include:

Tasks management 

• You can now manage your checklists more easily and save time by customizing your Hierarchy view to see the columns you need. Simply select the columns you want to see, including custom columns, and save that view to return to it at any time.   

• Task and sub-task statuses can now be automated, eliminating the need to manually update subtasks when monitoring transactions. For example: 

  • When a parent task is completed, the status of all corresponding subtasks can be automatically updated. 

  • When a new sub-task is added, the status of the corresponding parent task is automatically changed to 'In Progress'. When all approval checkboxes are ticked, the status can be automatically updated.

These updates affect normal users and the user interface:

Contract Express

• You can now effortlessly identify incomplete pages when editing a questionnaire

Search

• Global search now supports Practical Law for the Australian region ^{ON REQUEST} 

Tasks

• The status of sub-tasks now changes automatically when you manage checklist items
• You may now add or remove columns in the Hierarchy view

Updates for site administrators

These updates affect site administrators:

Contract Express

• Archived templates are now hidden to eliminate clutter

Files

• When a Files audit is created, results are first limited to the last 30 days

Workflow

• It is now possible to insert a variable if a User lookup column is selected for the Update Attachment File Metadata action

Performance improvements

Our August 2023 release implements the following performance improvements:

Files

• Improved overall experience and performance when viewing and annotating files in the Files module
• Document page counts are now retrieved 11x faster
• Unsynced document data reports are now retrieved 15% quicker

• Retrieving OCR documents is now 6x faster

Search

• Improvements to reliability and speed when indexing text from PDF files

• You can now retrieve documents on the document search page almost instantly

HighQ Connector

• HighQ SQL connector performance has been improved by 20% for insert and 60% for update operations

iSheets

• Retrieval of user lookup columns is now 6x quicker

Dashboards

• Dashboard content performance is 5x faster through the removal of irrelevant received items

Reports

• Performance has been improved when exporting group permission reports

HighQ Drive

• The synchronization time for the full site/folder/files structure has improved to offer a more efficient collaborative document management solution
